Your opportunity:
The International Scholarships Advisor supports international scholars through scholarship programs administered by the CIE. Reporting to the Associate Director, the Advisor designs and delivers enrichment programming and provides support related to student life and international student experience. This role involves working with high profile scholarship programs, providing front-line support to scholars, and collaborating with various university departments and external donor groups to enhance program success.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising students on co-curricular, academic and personal matters
- Handling sensitive and/or confidential information
- Resolving issues and escalating problems as required
- Planning and implementing curricular/co-curricular programs
- Conducting analysis on program efficiency and student outcomes
- Facilitating workshops and seminars
- Building relationships with stakeholders and partners
- Developing content for marketing and promotional materials
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
- Minimum 4 years of experience working with international program cohorts
- 2 years of experience designing and delivering enrichment programming
- 2 years of experience supporting international student wellbeing
- Experience delivering events and workshops on leadership and professional development
- Knowledge of international student support services
- Strong communication and computer skills
- Strong diplomacy skills
Assets (Nonessential):
- Experience with external donors and donor agreements
- International experience in a non-Canadian education setting
- Knowledge of a second language

Pay Scale Group & Hiring Zone: USW Pay Band 12 - $79,874, with annual step progression to $102,147. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
