In the Edmonton region we have manufacturing facilities in Edmonton, Sherwood Park and Nisku.

The Quality Control Inspector will work Mon-Thu nights. This role is responsible for direct examination of product to ensure that quality standards and procedures are met and align with legislation and customer specifications. Requiring a high level of attention to detail, the Quality Control Inspector is responsible for strictly adhering to the organization's quality assurance procedures and policies and identifying defects and/or production errors to prevent these materials from entering the supply chain.

• Daily inspection of in process units: ensure sealing is completed, no missing parts, and all other in process inspections are of high quality.
• Daily inspection of paperwork for all in process units and report any deficiencies to Quality Supervisor.
• Complete sub assembly inspections such as: motor, coil, evap., furnace, and paint.
• Complete unit final inspections.
• Review inspection documents and make unit packages.
• Report any observed safety issues to the Safety Coach or Safety Coordinator.
• Assist with education of other inspectors and production team members.
• Inspect drawings and marking/breaking work and ensure it is correct.
• Assist marking with Engineering changes where drawings are not correct and submit to Quality Supervisor.
• Inspect all aspect of units with the appropriate forms from the beginning to the end and record all discrepancies.
• Organize all inspection documentation papers and online photos.
• Performs all duties in accordance with Silent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• 1-3 years of quality control experience in an organization that has an established quality program.
• Electrical Journeyman background is required.
• Some formal or practical exposure to quality control concepts.
• Certification or currently working towards certification.
• Courses with a focus on quality control or quality systems.
• Strong ability to read shop drawings.
• Practical experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Highly motivated, self-directed, detail oriented, capable of multi-tasking, and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to manage change on the floor and work well with shift supervisors.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.
