Description
We are seeking an ambitious Student to join the Facilities Infrastructure Commercial Operations team in our Calgary office. Reporting to the Manager, Facilities Infrastructure Commercial Operations, the successful candidate will support the Commercial Operations team with day-to-day commercial activities related to IPL’s NGL extraction and fractionation facilities and gain exposure to complex commercial operating agreements, sales agreements and critical operational and commercial decision-making
Key Activities And Responsibilities
Standard: Monday – Friday 8 hours/day, on-site
As this position is identified as safety and/or security sensitive, employment of a final candidate will be conditional upon completion of pre-employment medical, drug/alcohol, drivers abstract, employment verification and criminal background check assessments with satisfactory results.

Description
We are seeking an ambitious Student to join the Facilities Infrastructure Commercial Operations team in our Calgary office. Reporting to the Manager, Facilities Infrastructure Commercial Operations, the successful candidate will support the Commercial Operations team with day-to-day commercial activities related to IPL’s NGL extraction and fractionation facilities and gain exposure to complex commercial operating agreements, sales agreements and critical operational and commercial decision-making
Key Activities And Responsibilities
- Maintain daily operational data and Power BI report
- Conduct market analyses and present results
- Support financial analysis related to growth capital projects
- Perform research to be used in project evaluations and contract negotiation
- Preparation of presentations for internal and external meetings
- Special projects as requested
- Completion of 2nd or 3rd year of post-secondary studies, preferably in a business-related program (e.g. economics, finance)
- Advanced Excel skills along with a demonstrated ability to develop, interpret, and communicate analysis
- Experience with Powerpoint and presentations considered an asset
- Experience with PowerBI considered an asset
- Motivated individual able to work independently and as a team player
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively interact with various internal and external stakeholders
