The PSW Role
Bayshore PSWs provide personal care services to clients living in the community. With this support and assistance, Bayshore clients are able to remain in the comfort of their own home, enhancing their quality of life, dignity, and independence.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, according to the care plan.
- Provide cognitive, social and/or emotional support.
- Complete assigned tasks such as meal preparation, laundry, and monitoring household safety.
Client Care plans may include skin care, hair care, mouth care, bathing, bowel and bladder care, positioning and movement, exercise, feeding, special diets, assistance with oxygen administration and medication reminders. PSWs perform specialized client-specific procedures with clinical training and support, completing care and observations of client conditions are documented.
Job Qualification
- Valid driver’s license (G or G2) is a must
- Reliable vehicle and ability to drive independently
- Able to work every other weekend
- Able to provide a workday availability that fits our client service needs
- PSW diploma or equivalent (DSW, Nursing Student, first year completed)
- Updated Immunization Records, Clear criminal background check and vulnerable sector check
