Position Description

Job Description:

We are recruiting a Clinical Research Project Assistant (CRPA) to work in collaboration with a team of Investigators at the Hospital for Sick Children, Division of Paediatric Medicine and Grandview Kids in Ajax, Ontario. The project, entitled The value of the MUAC Z-scores in the assessment of malnutrition in enterally-fed children with medical complexity aims to conduct and translate research findings into clinical practice and health care policy that contributes to improving paediatric healthcare delivery and outcomes. The candidate will work within a team of researchers who conduct outcomes-based research focused on the care of children with medical complexity. The role involves collaboration with the PIs on a quantitative research study considering the nutritional assessment of children living with medical complexity.

This study will take place at both the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, ON and at Grandview Kids in Ajax, ON.

Here's What You'll Get To Do:

  • Involvement in all aspects of the research study including participant recruitment, study logistics, data collection, data analysis, manuscript writing and knowledge translation
  • Work with the study team to analyze quantitative data
  • Work with PIs in drafting and preparing manuscripts for submission

Here's What You'll Need:

  • MSc in health sciences or other fields with a significant component focused on clinical research
  • Experience developing and conducting quantitative research studies
  • Experience in health equity research is considered an asset
  • At least 1-2 years' experience in a relevant position, though candidates without this experience who have a strong background and training will be considered
  • Ability to function independently yet collaboratively within a team
  • Excellent interpersonal, facilitation and organizational skills
  • Strong motivation to contribute to a research team focused on improving children's health

Employment Type: This is a 0.2 FTE position.
