Your work environment at EXP

EXP is currently recruiting for an Environmental Qualified Person to work in our Hamilton, Markham, or Brampton, ON offices. You will be a motivated, detail-oriented self-starter with four-plus years of experience in environmental site assessment and consulting services. You will be responsible for various tasks reporting to the Environmental Services Manager.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

  • Technical services primarily focused on Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments to CSA and O.Reg. 153/04 requirements;
  • Technical services related to Excess Soil Management to O.Reg. 406/19 requirements;
  • Experience in completing peer reviews of technical documents and reports;
  • Draw on technical skills and expertise to design, install, and conduct ongoing maintenance of remediation systems;
  • Working familiarity with Ontario Regulation 153/04 and Ontario Regulation 406/19;
  • Scope preparation;
  • Report preparation;
  • Review and evaluate the technical work of other staff;
  • Maintain excellent client relationships in various industries;
  • Working with clients, junior staff, and project managers.

What Your Experience Looks Like

  • 5+ years of experience in environmental assessments and excess soil;
  • P.Eng. or P.Geo license in Ontario and QPESA designation required;
  • University degree in a related field of study such as Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Hydrogeology or Geology;
  • Highly technical abilities in environmental site assessment and remediation design, combined with a mechanical aptitude;
  • Knowledge of risk assessment/remediation systems/techniques;
  • Extensive working knowledge of Ontario Regulation 153/04, as amended (including the filing of Record of Site Condition);
  • Extensive working knowledge of Ontario Regulation 406/19, as amended;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as advanced technical writing abilities;
  • Ability to problem solve, troubleshoot, and put forth creative solutions.
