Consisting of four locations—the main processing facility located in Brooks, Alberta, where approximately 4,300 head of cattle are harvested and processed daily; the Head Office and a case ready plant, both based in Calgary, Alberta; and JBS Ontario, a case ready plant located in Belleville, Ontario. The JBS Canada facility in Brooks has the capacity to produce products ranging from boxed beef primal, ground beef, beef trimmings, beef by-products and hides which are shipped across Canada and worldwide. At the multi-protein Mountain Creek Farms case-ready facility in Calgary, JBS Canada produces value-added products including marinated, portion sized, multi-pack options, kebabs and much more. JBS Ontario in Belleville produces fresh meat and seafood products for leading retailers in Canada.

Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience;
- Excellent customer service and communication skills;
- Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures;
- High level of critical and logical thinking for conflict resolution and good judgment;
- Ability to work efficiently, independently or as part of a team;
- Observant and perceptive skills;
- Knowledge of, and skills in, crowd control in emergency situations;
- Ability to use and inspect safety, fire and security systems on Company’s property;
- Tact and diplomacy skills.
- Attention to detail in all areas of work;
- Strong work ethic and high level of personal integrity; Confident, consistent, decisive and strong personality;
- Valid Alberta Security Service Worker License;
- Excellent investigative, interviewing skills;
- Intermediate computer skills with MS Office and Outlook;
- High School Diploma or GED required;
- Ability to work in a stressful environment;
- Working knowledge of security operations and procedures
- Responsible for first line protection of personnel at company’s property.
- Use of computer systems and software to monitor sites and complete basic trainings.
- Conducts inbound/outbound package inspections.
- Protects evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.
- Provides protection and security for life and property on company’s premises by conducting physical checks.
- Enforces all regulations, policies and by-laws for safe, secure operation of the property by:
- Maintaining an effective key or access control system,
- Monitoring adherence to "no smoking" and "no parking" requirements,
- Operating closed circuit TV systems and testing alarms,
- Being aware of special events requiring extra diligence.
- Liaises with employees, customers, visitors, general public, contractors, police, fire and ambulance services to prevent or reduce hazards to property and personnel.
- Detects and reports anomalies to systems, policies, practices and procedures that could constitute threats or hazards to company’s property or the health and safety of personnel;
- While situated at Security Desk meet visitors and issue security access;
- Direct delivery, contractor, internal and external personnel as required;
- Writes accurate, clear and concise reports;
- Follow approved Standard Operating Procedures and ensure internal controls are strictly complied with;
- Solve problems independently through full analysis of situations and employing best practices;
- Cross-train on multiple functions within the department to increase individual and team strength.
