Position Title: Project Manager

The Project Manager is accountable for the overall development, execution, and completion of projects. To achieve this objective, the primary responsibilities are:
- Define the scope of project(s) in collaboration with team members and management.
- Create a detailed work plan, which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project.
- Collaboratively determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc) required to complete the project.
- Liaise with clients and team members to schedule day-today operation activities.
- Determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion.
- Provide internal and external clients with milestone reports and budgetary estimates as required.
- Ensure project deliverables are on time, within budget, and maintain or exceed the required level of quality.
- Review completed projects for teaching/learning opportunities.
- Respond promptly to Customer / Project issues in co-operation with the project staff.
- Creating, reviewing, and processing of invoices and progress claims as required.
- Follow change management processes internally and externally to capture changes to design, costs, and schedule.
- Provide on-site technical advice to team personnel as required.
- Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards.
- Ensure inventory procedures are followed to maintain accurate stock counts.
- Completions of RFPs for subcontractors, evaluating bids, negotiating pricing an ensuring compliance with CSCL subcontractor qualification procedure.
- Ensure field staff are aware of all internal and external safety requirements, as they pertain to worksites or clients, are adhered to.
- Development of proposals and budgetary pricing for projects or materials, according to the Authorization to Sign.
- Structure and schedule the Project Team with the supplied staffing personnel to meet project field requirements, performance levels and budgets.
- Develop the culture of employee’s attitudes towards work and each other. Code of Conduct, Health and Safety, etc.
- To follow the company policies and procedures.
- To suggest any changes to current policies and procedures that would result in improved performance.
- Attend meetings with prospective and existing clients, as required.
- Provide recommendations for labour requirements to branch managers for review.
- Post-Secondary Education in Engineering
- Professional Engineer, or APEGA eligible
- NACE CP1 designation or higher is recommended
- Experience working in Cathodic protection is considered an asset
- Good oral and written skills
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Experience using enterprise resource planning software to manage project work
