The Role

Ganong Field Sales is seeking a dynamic and motivated Account Manager to join our team in Eastern Canada. This full-time position combines field sales and account management, with 4 days a week spent in the market calling on stores and 1 day at the home office managing Regional Key Accounts. The role is designed for someone ideally based in Saint John, NB and surrounding area NB, to maximize travel efficiency within the assigned territory.


Reporting to the Sales Manager, this role is responsible for driving sales growth, penetrating accounts, and building lasting relationships with independent retailers across New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland.

Key responsibilities include establishing and maintaining relationships with customers, conducting dealer presentations, analyzing territory potential, and executing annual business plans. Additionally, this candidate is adept at training customers on product features, ensuring compliance with company standards, and representing Ganong at trade shows. They excel in reporting market intelligence, forecasting sales, and implementing marketing programs to drive success in the territory.


Qualifications

  • Post secondary degree or diploma in degree in a relevant field  
  • 3+ years of related sales experience.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in retail consumer products or premium brands (an asset).
  • Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (an asset).
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to drive long distances (100+ km) several times a month. Overnight travel may be required.
  • CRM Proficiency: Daily use of CRM tools for managing field activities and reporting.
