Who You Are:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, BI) and Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversight and management of North American Customer Invoicing (Billing), Driver Pay (Settlement), Contract Administration, and Pricing functions for trucking operations
  • Leading a team of Pricing Managers and Contract Administrators to ensure we accurately and efficiently reflect commercial terms and pay agreements in our system tools
  • Leading a team of Managers, Supervisors, and Billers (located in Edmonton, Mississauga, and Houston) to ensure we accurately and efficiently bill our customers and pay our drivers
  • Establish clear productivity and quality metrics to hold Managers and their teams accountable for consistent execution
  • Lead efforts to identify and prioritize initiatives to improve billing and driver pay quality, standard process adherence, and continuous improvement mindset
  • Collaboration with other departments such as Sales, Operations, Payroll, IT to improve processes and utilization of systems to streamline Billing, Settlement, Contract Administration, and Pricing functions
  • Support Managers/Supervisors in resolving complex billing and pay issues; applying a continuous improvement mindset to prevent recurrence
  • Developing a strategy and leading the team to increase the percentage of invoices that can be billed and paylines that can be settled without manual touchpoints (Batch Bill & Batch Pay)
  • Managing a portfolio of initiatives involving cross-functional teams that contribute to accessorial revenue generation to capture all revenue we are commercially entitled to
  • Collaborating with Sales Directors to simplify our commercial contract terms where possible, so we can also simplify the downstream capture by Operations and communication to Billing
  • Leverage data in BI reporting, analytics, technologies, processes, tools, and training programs to position the team for success
  • Develops annual operating budget for team and reviews/manages monthly
  • Conduct regular reviews of the performance of Managers/Supervisors and provide coaching to develop the team; identify/provide opportunities to re-train and up-skill employees as required
  • Review offshore efforts as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Information Technology, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • 5-10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the transportation industry.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, business process improvement, and project management.
