Being part of the WITRON Group the OU.DIVISION is internationally successful with the technical operation of automated logistic systems. For our site in Vaughan we are looking for an:

Human Resources and Payroll Coordinator

Ideal candidate profile:

  • College diploma in human resources or another related field.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant or progressive experience in Payroll and/or Human Resources field.
  • Knowledge of Human Resources administrative practices and administration of collective agreements.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles to understand payroll complexities and for accurate maintenance of payroll records and procedures.
  • Thorough working knowledge of the Employment Standards Act, Canada Revenue Agency legislation, Workplace Safety and Insurance Act (WSIA), and other applicable legislation as well as internal policies, procedures, and collective agreements.
  • Valid “G” Class Driver’s License.

Your role in our team:

  • Support overall Human Resource and Payroll functions, including assisting with payroll and benefits, and a range of assignments to support department mandates as they arise.
  • Process weekly payrolls for all salaried and hourly employees, ensuring all related reconciliations and remittances are accurate, completed and reports submitted on time.
  • Prepare and distribute seniority, OT equalization reports, level testing in accordance with the applicable collective agreements along with other critical reports in timely manner.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and other work-related matters.
  • Conduct onboarding meetings with new employees to complete required hiring forms.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed to help ensure the efficient operation of the site. May be required to work and travel outside of the normal business hours.
