Quality Control Technician

BWXT Medical Ltd., is hiring an Quality Control Technician who has at least 2-years experience in chemistry and microbiology Location: On-site; this position is located at our production facility in Kanata, ON - 447 March Road Job Summary: Reporting to the Manager, Quality Assurance, the Quality Control Technician will perform quality control analyses of raw materials to finished product Responsibilities:

• Perform quality control analysis of raw materials and final product
• Perform routine monitoring of controlled systems and facilities
• Perform specific administrative duties such as maintaining accurate records of observations, results and data evaluations
• Follow ongoing production processes for conformance to operating procedures, product specification, GMP regulations and ISO standards

Qualifications:

• Technologist Diploma (3 yrs) or B.Sc. in a science discipline plus 2-5 years of relevant experience in chemistry or microbiology
• Must possess excellent communication skills - both oral and written
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills
• Must be able to perform in a team environment and be a dedicated team player
• Must be able to work a variety of shifts as per the collective agreement, which includes regular scheduled weekend shifts

The base salary range for this position in Ontario (CA-ON) at the start of employment is expected to be between $68,871 and $86,290 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment.
