Kinder Links Facilitator

Part-time term position

5 - 25 hours per week (evenings/weekends)

Effective ASAP to May 30/25

Under the supervision of the preschool community programming coordinator, Kinder Links Facilitators will prepare for and implement a variety of parent-child programs at various school and community venues throughout the division, including virtual programming.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate onsite and virtual parent-child programs offered through Kinder Links.
• Lead program participants in rhymes/chants, group stories, and facilitate educational games and skill building activities. Prepare age-appropriate art experiences for young children.
• Communicate with and support of preschool parents in the RETSD community
• Prepare program materials and resources and monitor their delivery to class locations
• Participate in professional learning, training, and staff meetings
• Track Kinder Links program information and compile statistics

Qualifications

• Training in River East Transcona’s early learning programs (or a willingness to be trained)
• Resident/knowledge of the community areas of the River East Transcona School Division
• Comfortable working with the Microsoft Office Suite and Teams app
• An understanding of the parenting experience
• Must enjoy working with parents and children in groups
• Group facilitation training an asset
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Available to work daytime and evening shifts as required
• Upon hire, external applicants must supply a Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Search, and a cleared Child Abuse Registry Check, as conditions of employment.
