As a co-op student supporting the Program Management team for our various programs, you will assist with various activities with supporting and improving the business. This role is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure and valuable insights into a position within Programs, including ship experience, customer relations, stakeholder management, and project management to name a few.
Irving Shipbuilding is proud to support their student hires and will pay the fees associated with your co-op up to $1000.
Responsibilities
- Help with development of processes, KPIs, and initiative management.
- Support the Programs team with coordination between production and customer, managing internal and external stakeholders.
- Work in process improvement project(s), data analysis, reducing wastes, and delivering customer requirements.
- To complete assigned tasks, leverage strong communication skills to engage with internal stakeholders across several departments, including Planning, Scheduling, Production, Supply Chain, and Estimating.
- Completion of program, project, and team presentations surrounding progress and performance reporting.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a 4-year Business Admin, Commerce or Engineering degree program in any discipline.
- 0-2 years’ experience.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, openness to learning.
- Skilled in organizing and managing a variety of tasks with varying priorities and is a fast learner and effective problem solver.
