Job Description
We are currently looking for two Road Asset Technician Students and one Road Field Assistant Student to join our Woodlands team in Central New Brunswick. Successful Road Asset Technician candidates will spend most of their summer in the field, helping to build a detailed database of our roads network. This will include assessing the state of assets within our roads network, such as, bridges and culverts. This work is an essential piece of a broader asset management program currently under development. Successful Road Field Assistant candidates will also spend most of their summer is the field supporting the road supervisor with field logistics, quality control and planning.

- A student incentive/bonus ranging between $1,000.00 - $2,500.00
- A 45 hour work week, Monday - Friday
- A robust onboarding process that involves field tours and meetings with various subject matter experts to learn all aspects of our roads network
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing inspections in the field
- Work collaboratively with various subject matter experts to learn how to assess the condition of assets within the roads network
- Contribute to degradation curves of the roads infrastructure and build a system to define the degradation of those assets
- Other duties and tasks as required
Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled at recognized post-secondary institution (Forestry or Engineering preferred but not required)
- Must have a class 5 license or equivalent
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Driven individual who takes the initiative
- Interest and experience in asset management, database construction, and field verification would be considered an asset
