The Opportunity

Plans, choreographs, and instructs fitness classes.

Responsibilities

  • Plan safe, effective and balanced classes
  • Lead and instruct safe, effective, and balanced classes
  • Stay within Scope of Practice
  • Physical Abilities to perform the duties of the position
  • Be on time to prepare class setup for participants and be available during and after class for any questions or concerns
  • Customer service
  • Professional and fun
  • Mindful of different abilities and fitness levels
  • Adaptable
  • Report any unsafe behavior and equipment
  • Keep inventory organized
  • Ability to multitask and react quickly to emergency situations

You Bring

  • Valid Fitness Instructor Certification
  • Minimum 2 million Liability Insurance
  • Emergency First Aid CPR/AED Certification (renewed yearly as required by Certification)

Hours

Must be available to work on evenings and weekends.

Salary/Wage

The rate of pay is in accordance with the CUPE Collective agreement, Fitness Instructor III, and will be $40.26 per hour.
