The compensation range for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 annually, depending on the candidate's experience and qualifications. About The Role
- Develop and implement equipment management strategies to optimize the utilization of Marcon equipment assets and performance of equipment across all residential construction projects.
- Oversee the purchasing, leasing, renewal, and disposal of assets, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Assist with writing, maintaining and compliance with internal policies and procedures for internal equipment management.
- Conduct inspections and audits to ensure equipment safety, maintenance needs, and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules and repairs to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using digital tracking systems, including purchase details, warranties and maintenance history.
- Collaborate with project teams to forecast equipment needs and allocate resources effectively.
- Train personnel on equipment use, safety protocols, and maintenance practices.
- Analyze performance data to identify improvement opportunities and implement best practices.
- Manage budgets related to equipment expenditures in partnership with Marcon’s finance teams.
- Management of existing and future personnel with Marcon’s equipment division, including resource recommendations and performance management.
Technical Skills & Capabilities
- Proficient in operating and managing heavy construction equipment (e.g., forklifts, loaders, cranes).
- Hands-on experience with digital tracking platforms, GPS asset tracking, and inventory management software.
- Familiarity with construction management tools (e.g., Procore, Smartsheet) and warehouse operations.
- Knowledge of IoT technologies or telematics for equipment performance tracking.
- High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Construction Management , Engineering, Logistics, or related field preferred.
- Certifications in equipment or asset management (e.g., Certified Equipment Manager) are an asset.
- Proven experience in equipment management or a mechanical background in construction.
- Strong understanding of construction equipment functionality, maintenance, and safety requirements.
- Proficient in equipment management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Financial acumen for budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data insights into strategies.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
