Responsibilities And Duties
- Responsibility for monitoring and ensuring that the nutritional needs of the residents are met through consultation with the Clinical Dietician.
- The Food-service Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that adequate food and supplies are received in the Resident Dining Rooms.
- Responsible for staffing and staff replacement for all the Resident Dining Rooms/Serveries, the Food-service Centre and Cafeteria.
- The Food-service Supervisor is a member of the Food and Nutrition Services Management team and participates in planning and policy setting for the department.
- In the absence of the clinical Dietitian, the Food-service Supervisor will be responsible for resident diet order changes and any necessary interpretations within the scope of qualifications of the Foodservice Supervisor.
- Candidates must have a Diploma in Food Service Supervision (2 year program from a recognized college), eligibility for membership in the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management.
- Proven leadership skills, preferably in a supervisory capacity, excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills are required.
- You must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Software Suite and experience using a computerized food management system.
