The Delivery Driver's main responsibility is to safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport new products to East Penn Canada customers and / or pick up used batteries for drop-off to the warehouse or applicable recycling depots in a safe, timely and accurate manner. This includes loading and unloading the products.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Carry out deliveries and pick-up product from customers according to the pre-established routes/schedule
  • Establish positive working relationships with contacts at each customer site
  • Oversee all functions of vehicle's condition of equipment loading and unloading, pre-trip inspections, safety and security of cargo (including inspection of tires, lights, brakes, etc)
  • Assists in the warehouse as required, shipping, receiving and labeling batteries.

Experience, Skills & Competencies

  • Must have valid Class 3 driver’s license with air brake endorsement
  • Minimum 2 years previous experience with delivery driving and, in a warehouse,
  • Forklift experience & certificate to operate Forklift
  • Must be willing and able to frequently lift and/or move boxes up to 40 lbs. and up
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to follow processes and adhere to safety standards (WHIMS & TDG)
  • Ability to work with mobile technology
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
