Head Pharmacy Technical Assistant

Why this role is important?

We are looking for a Head Pharmacy Technical Assistant (PTA) to join our team.

In addition to the duties required of a PTA, the Head PTA is also responsible for managing the schedule based on pharmacy needs. They must implement the protocols required by the OPQ and maintain the appropriate standards. Additionally, they are in charge of training new employees and hiring with the pharmacist-owner.

The candidate must have a short- to long-term vision for the management of the pharmacy in collaboration with the pharmacist-owner. They must maintain a conducive work environment and appropriate customer service.

Management experience is an asset, as is experience as a PTA. This position allows you to learn new skills and help the pharmacy team improve patient health and care in your community.

Assets:

• Experience working in a retail pharmacy
• Experience as a pharmacy technical assistant
• Familiarity with Assyst-Rx software
