The Analyst, Measurement, will be part of the Measurement Regulatory Compliance and Systems team. Duties will include conducting and reporting annual audits as part of the Enhanced Production Audit Program (EPAP), administrate and supporting proving, balancing, and schematic software, and execute projects to improve Plains overall measurement goals.

Job Responsibilities

  • Enhanced Production Audit Program (EPAP) auditing for Alberta and Saskatchewan pipelines and facilities and annual submission of declaration of compliance
  • Perform trend analysis, charting and KPI’s on various data from audits including number deficiencies by facility, district and province
  • Remediation follow up on any deficiencies found based on EPAP auditing
  • Administrate, update and provide support for proving software
  • Administrate, update and provide support for balancing software
  • Administrate, update and provide support for yearly measurement schematic requirements
  • Execute projects to improve the level of compliance for fuel, flare, vent and electronic flow computer audit trail
  • Work with maintenance department to ensure all work orders and PMs are created for high priority tasks for measurement and quality

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years’ experience in measurement, operations, quality, or related experience
  • Understanding of Alberta & Saskatchewan Measurement requirements
  • Prior experience in Petroleum Quality and/or Operations would be an asset
  • Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with the full Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Able to read proving reports and understand measurement regulations
  • Experience with Flowcal or other Measurement balancing systems
  • Possessing excellent organizational skills
  • Demonstrating a high level of motivation with excellent communication skills
  • Showing initiative and having a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to contribute within a team environment
  • Able to travel 10% of the time
  • Compliance with the company’s drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment D&A testing
