Railway Conductor
NBM Railways
We are seeking applications for a Railway Conductor.
- Receive work instructions from RTC/Planners
- Direct the train movement and switching of cars
- Safe and efficient use of hand brakes / air hoses in coupling and switching rail cars
- Brake Tests as required by regulations
- Communication by radio to Locomotive Engineer and RTC/Planners
- Strict compliance with all regulatory and company procedures and policies.
Requirements
- Education Required: Trade Certification or College Diploma
- Railroad experience is preferred and must be willing to train for this position
- Must be flexible for shift work (includes nights, weekends & holidays)
- Must be able to cross the border into Canada and be flexible to stay overnight in McAdam
- Must be able to work effectively outdoors in this physically demanding position
- Possess a commitment to customer service, productivity, teamwork and safety
- Successful completion of the following is required: - Classroom Rules training (CROR “A” Card)
- Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG)
- Workplace Standard First Aid & CPR
- Railway Medical Assessment
- On-the-job training.
