Position Highlights

ICBC’s Employee Marketing & Communications team has an opportunity for a Communications Advisor to work with designated client groups to provide communications advice, develop and implement internal communications plans, and support the team with various day-to-day communication activities/correspondence.

In this role, you will:

  • Create communications for internal audiences by collaborating with business partners to understand corporate issues and gathering information to create effective communication plans and materials.
  • Work with marketing and communications teams in developing and implementing integrated communications planning and related materials.
  • Conduct research and analysis to determine communications requirements and develop communication plans and tactics that are aligned with our values and corporate strategy.
  • Assess current communication environment, tools and techniques, and provide feedback on plans and strategies.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships across the organization to enable effective communications planning and delivery.
  • Collaborate and support other members of the team to ensure a common understanding of current activities and help deliver on initiatives.

Position Requirements

  • The work requires the understanding of communications strategies, principles and guidelines for various corporate and operational initiatives. This training is typically recognized by an undergraduate degree with several years of related direct/indirect internal communications work experience in a continuous learning environment.
  • Knowledge of the principles, methods, techniques and tools of communications and communications planning.
  • Knowledge of corporate and department strategies, services and goals pertaining to communications.
  • Knowledge of corporate business functions and initiatives of designated client group.

Work arrangement defined:

  • Hybrid 8 – you will work a minimum of 8 days in a 4-week period at your primary office headquarters (typically 2 days per week). The remaining days will be remote within British Columbia.
