Position Summary

The Manager, Logistics Distribution Services will be instrumental in driving improvements across our logistics operations. By analyzing performance data and extracting actionable insights, you will take initiative in strategic plans to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. You will also communicate and collaborate with our headquarters by reporting both ad-hoc and periodic reports, managing KPIs, collaborating with PDC operations, and tracking business plans. This pivotal role demands a proactive individual who can deliver timely, accurate insights into key logistics and business management metrics, ultimately contributing to the continued success and growth of our operations.

Key Responsibilities

Analysis and Continuous Improvement:

  • Analyze logistics and operations performance data to derive actionable insights.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic plans aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the PDCs and Logistics Distribution Services Department.

Logistics: Transportation, customs, dealer claim/return, supplier claim (QA) and PDC inventory accuracy management etc.

Operations: In/Outbound volume, LPH (efficiency), In/Outbound quality, Storage usage and future growth planning etc.

Business Plan Management (English & Korean)

  • Break down business objectives into actionable steps, defining timelines and responsibilities.
  • Develop detailed implementation plans in coordination with the Senior Manager to meet business goals.
  • Manage and cooperate with Logistics Distribution Services Department supervisors and data analysts to prepare monthly business plan reports.

Prepare and Manage the Periodic and Ad-hoc reports (English & Korean):

  • Periodic Reports: Gather, analyze, and research data to prepare reports regarding all logistics and PDC operations items associated with Hyundai Mobis HQ KPI
  • Key Management Indicators: Compile and analyze data for the monthly logistics management Indicators report.
  • Logistics Cost Report: Work with the Finance Department to provide insights for the logistics cost report.
  • Productivity Report: Collaborate with both PDCs for the monthly productivity report.
  • Dealer Claim Report: Prepare the report with improvement plans based on performance analysis provided by dealer claim team.
  • Inventory Accuracy Report: Prepare the result of regular and special count and overage, shortage and damage report with resolution for factors causing inaccuracy.
  • Capital Budget Approval: Lead the capital budget approval process by coordinating timely submissions.
  • Ad-hoc Reports: Gather, analyze, and research data to support reports requested by Hyundai Mobis HQ ad-hoc basis.

Compliance & Process Support (English & Korean)

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies and safety standards provided by Hyundai Mobis HQ.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within logistics and operations with process documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Required Qualifications

  • Language Proficiency: Bilingual in English and Korean (both written and verbal) is essential.
  • Education: BSc, B.Eng. or B.BA in Supply Chain Management (SCM), Logistics, Warehouse Management, Operations or a related field. A Master’s degree in a relevant area is a plus.
  • Experience: Proven experience in data analysis, data mining and continuous improvement planning based on analysis. Extensive experience in report preparation, and cross-departmental coordination. Familiarity with logistics, supply chain management (SCM), operations, Warehouse Management, and financial reporting in a corporate environment is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Highly advanced proficiency in Excel with the ability to handle complex functions and data analysis tasks at a high level. Strong skills in SQL and database management to efficiently manage and extract meaningful insights from complex data sets. Programming skills are an asset for streamlining processes and driving automation.
  • Certification in Supply Chain Management (SCM) or Logistics is highly preferred, showcasing your commitment to the field. In-depth knowledge of statistics and data analysis techniques, enabling you to make data-driven decisions that drive operational excellence.
