We are seeking a skilled and motivated High Voltage Low Voltage Charging Development Engineer to join our team. This role is pivotal in the development and validation of cutting-edge electric vehicle (EV) power electronics and electrified vehicle systems for passenger cars and trucks. The engineer will focus on supporting the STLA-s & IDCM programs, ensuring the delivery of innovative, reliable, and efficient charging solutions.

- System Design and Development:
- Develop high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) charging systems, including power converters, on-board chargers (OBCs), and related subsystems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architecture, component specifications, and integration strategies for EV power electronics.
- Validation and Testing:
- Lead validation efforts to ensure compliance with performance, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Conduct testing of HV and LV charging systems under various conditions, including thermal, electrical, and environmental scenarios.
- Analyze test data to identify and resolve performance or reliability issues.
- Program Coordination:
- Support the STLA-s & IDCM programs by aligning development activities with program milestones and objectives.
- Work closely with program managers, suppliers, and manufacturing teams to deliver solutions on time and within budget.
- Technical Troubleshooting and Optimization:
- Diagnose and resolve technical challenges related to HV/LV charging systems during development and integration phases.
- Implement design improvements to enhance efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure systems meet industry standards, including ISO 26262 for functional safety and other EV-specific regulations.
- Stay informed of emerging technologies and industry trends to incorporate best practices into designs.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and validation summaries.
- Present technical findings and progress updates to stakeholders and management teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in the development and validation of EV power electronics and charging systems.
- Strong understanding of high-voltage and low-voltage systems, including DC-DC converters, OBCs, and energy management systems.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 26262, SAE J1772, and IEC 61851.
- Hands-on experience with testing equipment and tools for validation of power electronics.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Knowledge of electrified vehicle architectures and systems, particularly within the STLA-s & IDCM platforms.
- Proficiency in simulation and modeling tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, or PSpice.
- Experience with embedded systems and software development for power electronics.
