Position Summary
JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the direct supervision of the Manager, Asylum, this position is responsible for serving the guests in Asylum. Ensures adherence to all polices and procedures while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Under the direct supervision of the Manager, Asylum, this position is responsible for serving the guests in Asylum. Ensures adherence to all polices and procedures while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members. Ensures adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian's learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.
Key Accountabilities
- Greets guests by name wherever possible
- Escorts guests to a table when required; presents menus; informs guests of daily specials
- Explains how various menu items or beverages are prepared
- Takes the guest orders; makes recommendations
- Serves the guests; checks to ensure satisfaction
- Prepares food and beverages if applicable
- Resolves guests issues or asks management for assistance
- Presents bill upon request and takes payment
- Cleans tables or counters; removes dishes; re-stocks where applicable
- Performs opening or closing duties as required
- Performs cash out at end of shift
- Covers other servers sections when required
- Exercises good judgment when serving alcoholic beverages
- Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
- Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership and team members
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed
- Must be available to work until 3:00am on weekends
- Minimum 1 year of high volume serving experience
- Effective and service oriented communication
- Experience using Squirrel considered an asset
- Serving it Right Certification
- Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
- Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely,
- Regular casino, restaurant or bar environment, standing and walking f or long periods of time and non-traditional work hours
