Position Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the direct supervision of the Manager, Housekeeping, this position is responsible for the comfort and cleanliness of guest rooms while contributing to a safe and welcoming work environment for all team memb ers. Ensures adherence to the Company�s policies and procedures, motivates and leads by example and supports Great Canadian�s learning environment while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all team members.

Key Ac Countabilities

  • Makes beds, changes linen, vacuums and cleans as per policies and procedure
  • Supplies the rooms with fresh towels and toiletries
  • Restocks inventories as required
  • Checks that TVs, radios, light s and AC/Heating are working
  • Dusts and polishes furniture
  • Scrubs floors, walls and windows as required
  • Empties and cleans waste paper baskets and ashtrays
  • Removes linens and garage to appropriate bins
  • Shampoos carpe ts as directed when required
  • Reports damages to Team Leader or Manager
  • Answers guest questions
  • Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
  • Develops and cultivates strong working rela tionships with all stakeholders: guests, management and team members
  • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
  • Performs other duties as assigned or directed

Educat Ion And Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 1 year housekeeping experience
  • Food Safety Certification and WHMIS
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Gaming License
  • Understands and speaks English

Work Environment Considerations

  • Standing or walking for long periods of time, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, stretching, cleaning, some exposure to heat, some exposure to smoke, some exposure to verbal abuse, non-traditional work hours
