ROLL FORM PRODUCTION & MAINTENANCE MANAGER

CGC Inc. is currently recruiting for a Roll Form Production & Maintenance Manager for our ceilings plant, based in Oakville, Ontario.


It's a permanent and full-time position, offering a challenging opportunity for a motivated individual to demonstrate their skills and abilities in a manufacturing operation within a large corporation.


POSITION SUMMARY

As a key member of the plant leadership team, the Roll Form Production and Maintenance Manager shares responsibility for employee engagement, safety, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives within the plant.


This position is an opportunity for a motivated individual to demonstrate their leadership skills managing the Roll Form and Maintenance departments. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and leading a department of 12 employees in Roll Form, 8 employees in Maintenance, and one PLC Technician. The position has one Foreman as a direct report.


The manager is expected to communicate effectively using new school methods with reports, employees, peers, and the Plant Manager to discuss and resolve any issues.


Additional responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for manufacturing grid ceiling suspension products that meet or exceed customer expectations in the marketplace. Responsible for ensuring products comply with UL/ASTM standards and USG bulletins for product quality. Coordinating continuous product quality improvement initiatives within the department.
  • Responsible for effectively leading the full plant Maintenance program, managing maintenance priorities, maintaining the corporate offices, and spending across all departments.
  • Must identify and be a leader in process improvements through Lean initiatives, acting as the process owner and driving operational improvement utilizing the Reliability Performance Model for all equipment to achieve efficiency targets.
  • Understand, analyze, and optimize manufactured cost for each of the departments and identify opportunities for control.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred but will consider significant years of experience in a Foreman or Supervisor position.
  • Must demonstrate strong leadership, verbal and written communication, decision-making, and people handling skills.
  • Business-minded, people and results oriented, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.
  • Self-starter, excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Must have demonstrated the ability to operate within a planned budget and hold costs within established goals.


Salary Range- $82,080 to $109,440 per annum

Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
