Job Title: Financial Analyst

 

Location: Oakville, Ontario (Hybrid)

 

Job Summary:

The Financial Analyst will focus primarily on maintaining and reporting on the customer rebate and profit share contracts, as well as month end closing and reporting responsibilities, while maintaining compliance with company policies and accounting standards. This position reports to the Manager, Financial Reporting and involves working closely with customers, internal departments, and other finance team members.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create internal and customer rebate reports.
  • Review rebate rates, complete reconciliation and communicate with internal stakeholders.
  • Review customer rebate invoices for accuracy against contract.
  • Liaison with the sales team and customers, address any questions or concerns.
  • Calculate profit share accruals each month and compare against customer submissions.
  • Review profit share contracts and make changes as necessary.
  • Run allocations in SAP.
  • Review and close production orders in SAP.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, address inquiries, and resolve discrepancies in a professional and timely manner.
  • Participate in maintenance of customer contract master data in conjunction with Master Data Management team.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals and reporting.
  • Prepare the month end account reconciliations for rebate and profit share accounts and the supporting analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Participate in the year-end external audit.
  • Ad-hoc tasks as required.

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum College Diploma; preferably in accounting or related field.
  • 1-2 years of relevant finance experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.
  • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP is considered an asset).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
