We are excited to offer an opportunity for a Finance Manager to join our growing team at Modern Niagara. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in coordinating and overseeing all daily accounting processes for the Corporate office, ensuring they are executed efficiently, effectively, and within established timelines.


As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the monthly financial reporting of shared service departments. You will collaborate with Finance teammates, the executive team, operations staff, and lenders to deliver the highest level of service to our internal operations, external clients, and vendors.


Reporting to the Corporate Director of Finance, you will embody and promote Modern Niagara’s Core Values in all your actions, supporting the team's efforts to achieve established financial and business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). This role offers a unique opportunity for professional development and career advancement within Modern Niagara through diverse experiences.


Overview Of Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all financial operations of the Corporate office.
  • Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, including annual budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and KPI monitoring.
  • Compile a consolidated monthly financial reporting package for the Executive Leadership Team, providing insights and data to support strategic planning and business development initiatives, including collaboration on the 5-year plan.
  • Cultivate relationships with regional business leads to serve as a business partner in managing performance.
  • Oversee cash flow forecasts, ensuring optimal cash resource management and liquidity maintenance.
  • Evaluate internal controls and identify areas for improvement.
  • Pursue efficiencies in financial transaction processing and reporting.
  • Complete special projects and analyses on an ad-hoc basis as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Professional accounting designation (CPA) required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of financial management or controllership experience.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with a team-oriented mindset.
  • Experience in the construction industry is a plus.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to trend analysis.
  • Openness to continuous improvement and change, with ERP implementation experience being an asset.
