Responsibilities

  • Supervises and directs maintenance staff and monitors performance of assigned responsibilities.
  • Performs and/or directs the performance of all maintenance departmental service requests, ensuring that work performed in these areas is accomplished efficiently with a minimum amount of disruption and inconvenience.
  • Supervises and implements the preventative maintenance program, including scheduling, performing, and delegating tasks, ordering parts, and maintaining inventory.
  • Provides training and supervision aimed at expanding the capabilities of the operations staff, including demonstrations and hands-on instruction in maintenance and safety procedures.
  • Ensures that work performed in client space is accomplished with a minimum of disruption and is followed by adequate cleanup.
  • Performs maintenance and monitors repairs to the Mechanical, Plumbing, Structural, Furniture, Fire, Life Safety, and Control systems.
  • Records readings and makes adjustments to ensure proper operation of equipment.
  • Maintains HVAC systems and associated equipment at optimum performance levels.
  • Complies with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials; maintains a clean and safe workplace.
  • Reviews monthly client service request summaries to pinpoint and correct recurrent operational problems.
  • Evaluates vendors and suppliers regularly regarding quality and pricing.
  • Prepares and submits purchase order requests and verifies the accuracy of deliveries.
  • Performs periodic checks of tool and instrument inventory.
  • Monitors the quality and pricing of maintenance work performed by outside contractors.
  • Leads event setup/teardown activities.
  • Performs additional job duties as requested.

Qualifications

  • Operating Engineers license (SMA) or equivalent.
  • Certification as a Universal Technician for CFC’s (or within 90 days of employment).
  • Ability to analyze the operation of various systems and take corrective action as required.
  • Working knowledge of computer applications including Word and Excel.
  • Availability for Call-in work and performance of other duties as required.
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent with two years of trades schooling in electrical system design, refrigeration, and HVAC.
