Lifemark Health Group in Corner Brook Newfoundland and Labrador is looking to hire a Physician for in-clinic medical assessments, primarily: employment medicals, independent medical assessments, and other specialized medicals such as Seafarer’s, Aviation, CAPP and more.

Lifemark Health Group in Corner Brook Newfoundland and Labrador is looking to hire a Physician for in-clinic medical assessments, primarily: employment medicals, independent medical assessments, and other specialized medicals such as Seafarer’s, Aviation, CAPP and more.
As part of the interdisciplinary team, the Physician shall use evidence and measurement-based care to perform the following:
- Complete a thorough assessment of presenting eligible health problems;
- Perform medication review and identify drug therapy problems;
- Clarify relevant medical issues including comorbid conditions;
- Clarify diagnosis and prognosis related to eligible health problems;
- Identify conditions that are not related to the eligible health conditions that if left unaddressed can hinder progress in rehabilitation;
- Identify relevant accommodations or medical restrictions;
- Identify and provide rationale when additional specialized assessments are required to enable achievement of rehabilitation goals;
- Care may be provided in-person or virtual;
- Engage in time-bound targeted follow up care through a consultative model with our clients;
- Participate in de-brief discussions with the interdisciplinary team, when necessary.
- Doctor of Medicine and valid license to practice in respective field in province/territory as applicable, and member in good standing with provincial regulatory body.
- Experience in the management of complex medical conditions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with military culture and Canadian Veterans is an asset
- Bilingual (French / English) is an asset
- Experience working with a variety of health professionals and disciplines in an interdisciplinary team environment is an asset
- Experience and knowledge working with AMI Guide to Easeback 6th edition is an asset
