You As a Data Analyst (18 Months) Will
- Apply your knowledge of quantitative and programmatic methods; expertise with data analysis tools and techniques; and critical-thinking skills to derive actionable information from data;
- Distill complex relationships and large amounts of data into intuitive, informative, and descriptive reports and dashboards that will be used to empower product teams and guide business decisions;
- Drive the continuous improvement and overall state of data governance and quality across the organization, while leveraging technology (Microsoft Purview) to augment metadata, governance, and stewardship initiatives;
- Partner with business and product stakeholders to assist in the identification and documentation of business and data usage requirements, processes, needs, and key performance indicators;
- Collaborate with product development teams to influence the delivery of innovative data-driven products/features by undertaking data-centric activities;
- Draw on your extensive experience and expertise to contribute towards the development and enhancement of best practices in key areas of data analysis, data warehousing, and data management;
- Conduct a variety of data-related activities which will contribute towards the enablement of self-service reporting and BI capabilities for non-technical business stakeholders;
- Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or Data Science. Minimum five (5) years of industry experience in a data management, analysis, and/or business/data analyst role(s).
- Expert-level proficiency and experience with the following:
- Data Analysis: SQL, NoSQL, Python, Excel;
- Business Intelligence: PowerBI, Tableau, and/or Palantir Foundry;
- Data-Warehousing: Integrate (ETL/ELT), Query, Analyze.
- Data Governance and Quality: Microsoft Purview or similar.
- Working knowledge of construction-related best practices and processes an asset;
- Practical working knowledge of the following areas:
- Agile Development Methodologies;
- Data Architecture;
- Cloud Services: (Google Cloud Platform, Azure, AWS);
- Project Management Tools: JIRA, Azure DevOps
- Demonstrated experience solving business problems using quantitative analysis;
