About The Role

As the Head of Learning and Development, you will shape Lifemark's learning culture and strategy, ensuring every employee has the tools and knowledge to succeed. Reporting to the executive leadership team, you will lead the design, implementation, and evolution of learning programs that enhance performance, support business priorities, and strengthen leadership across the organization.

You will:

  • Build Best-in-Class Onboarding Programs: Create engaging, standardized onboarding experiences for new clinicians and administrative staff that set the foundation for long-term success.
  • Support Strategic Growth Areas: Design learning initiatives that align with Lifemark’s strategic priorities, equipping employees with the skills needed to excel in new and evolving areas of focus
  • Design a Leadership Development Program: Develop a transformative leadership curriculum for Clinic Directors, equipping them with the skills to lead high-performing teams and achieve business goals. Adapt this curriculum to create tailored leader programs for first-time managers both in clinical and corporate support settings.
  • Ensure Compliance with Required Learning: Implement and oversee training programs to meet all regulatory and compliance requirements, ensuring Lifemark remains a leader in healthcare standards.
  • Enhance Lifemark’s Learning Ecosystem: Curate, design, and implement innovative learning experiences and tools to upskill all employees, foster continuous growth, and create a culture of learning.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with HR, Operations, and Clinic Directors to align learning initiatives with organizational goals and ensure seamless implementation.
  • Measure Impact: Establish metrics to assess the effectiveness of learning programs and use data-driven insights to continuously improve.


What You Bring

  • Proven Leadership in L&D: 7+ years in learning and development, with at least 3 years leading strategic programs in a healthcare or service-focused organization. CTDP Certification is an asset.
  • Instructional Design Expertise: A compelling record of designing instruction that meets business required competencies and skill development. A demonstrated understanding of Evaluation Frameworks that can prove ROI of learning programs.
  • Creativity Meets Strategy: A track record of designing engaging, scalable programs that deliver measurable results.
  • Passion for People: A deep understanding of adult learning principles and a commitment to enhancing the employee experience.
  • Compliance Expertise: Familiarity with regulatory training requirements, particularly in healthcare or similar regulated environments.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Ability to connect with diverse teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • LMS Proficiency: Deep experience with LMS platforms (e.g. Cornerstone), e-learning tools, and modern learning methods (e.g., microlearning, virtual workshops) as well as demonstrated experience in end-to-end creation of learning and development materials.
