Electrical Designer

MatchBox Consulting Group is searching for an Electrical Designer in Winnipeg, MB. Our client is a leading engineering firm specializing in power and utility projects, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions for medium and high-voltage systems. They are committed to supporting critical infrastructure through detailed design, system studies, and collaborative project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design and provide support for medium/high voltage utility distribution and substation projects.
• Conduct grounding studies, arc flash analysis, and other system studies using software like CDEGS and eTAP.
• Prepare electrical designs, including schematics, layouts, and bills of materials for projects.
• Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure project success.
• Perform site inspections, surveys, and field measurements as needed.

Requirements

• Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• 1-2+ years of experience in electrical design, especially in utility or substation projects.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, CDEGS, and eTAP.
• Strong analytical, communication, and time management skills.
• Must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
