Controller

Our client, a successful, growing, private company located in Camrose, Alberta is looking for a Controller. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this is the senior most financial position in the organization. A key member of the management team, this position will play a critical role in taking the company to the next level.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s objectives.
• Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Manage cash flow, investments, and financing activities.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Lead the preparation of financial statements and reports for stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain a high standard of financial reporting and disclosure.
• Conduct financial risk management and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
• Work closely with operations providing financial acumen
• Supervise and mentor the accounting team

Qualifications:

• CPA designation
• 7+ years of post-designation experience in industry
• Good career stability
• Strong communication skills across an organization
• Ambitious
• Strong computer acumen
