ASCO Aerospace Canada is a division of Montana Aerospace, with our facility located in Delta, BC. We are looking for a Production Supervisor to join our Production team at the Canadian operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communication of job expectations as well as monitoring and appraising job results to ensure progress toward Production Plan objectives
  • Ensure employees work in a safe manner and adhere to safety policies/procedures
  • Ensure strict aerospace customer quality requirements are met during production
  • Monitor and approve overtime as required
  • Participate in the performance review process for employees
  • Participate in the recruitment and onboarding process for new employees
  • Supervise the proper usage of machines and processes
  • Participate in continuous improvement
  • Oversee adherence to the Collective Agreement within the production team
  • Promote a culture of ownership among all team members

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of previous related supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is required
  • Previous experience in a unionized environment is preferred
  • Previous experience in CNC and/or manual machining is preferred
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to coach, lead, and motivate others
  • Experience with preventing, managing, and resolving conflict
  • Proficient written and spoken English
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, etc)
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles is considered an asset
  • Able to organize activities and take proactive action to meet production needs
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and maintain focus in a busy production environment
  • Able to effectively problem-solve technical issues within a team environment
  • This position is for our daytime shift, but the ideal candidate would be able to work afternoon shifts as needed (i.e., vacation coverage).
