Box Office Supervisor

Position Summary

Reporting directly to the Box Office Manager, this role is responsible for supervising ticket agents, supporting the Manager during events, and providing excellent customer service. Candidates must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise ticketing staff and manage ticket sales, ensuring accurate reconciliation and administration.
• Handle will call operations and maintain accurate counts of sold and scanned tickets.
• Oversee staff breaks and resource distribution to maintain a safe environment.
• Respond to customer inquiries and escalate issues as needed.
• Troubleshoot customer issues using the Ticketmaster system and support ticket agents.
• Follow guidelines established by GCE, GCCT, and Ticketmaster.
• Liaise with various stakeholders to address logistical and technical issues during events.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service skills, responding to requests promptly and efficiently.
• Perform administrative tasks and maintain various records and reports.
• Use computers to process and record sales transactions.
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
• Make sound decisions and show good judgment.

Education and Qualification Requirements

• Willingness to undergo CPR and First Aid training.
• Familiarity with emergency procedures and equipment.
• Assist with disability-related issues and venue logistics.
• Ability to read event tickets in dim lighting.
• Capability to stand for long periods and lift 20 kilograms.
• Adhere to a dress code and attend trainings.
• Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset.
