GGC is actively searching for an Analyst, Financial Reporting

*Hybrid work arrangement, must be based in the Greater Toronto Area*

About This Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager, Reporting & Analysis, Analyst, Financial Reporting will analyze, organize and record financial information to assist with timely and accurate financial reporting for the organization as a whole.

In This Role You Will

  • Prepare monthly schedules and record the required month-end adjusting entries to reconcile the schedules.
  • Assist with preparation of intercompany transfers on a weekly basis.
  • Complete ad-hoc projects for internal reporting purposes.
  • Participate in the preparation and maintenance of process documentation and records management.
  • Assist with external audits.
  • Assist with other department functions as required.
  • Apply organizational policies regarding inclusivity to content, member communication and customer service.

General

  • Adhere to all relevant policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Liaise with other departments as required.
  • Provide general, ongoing support to members/volunteers, responding to/directing inquiries and consulting with the appropriate groups and individuals to support the mission and vision of GGC.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Related post-Secondary degree or diploma in Accounting or Financial Management.
  • 1+ years’ experience in accounting and financial reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow through financial transactions.
  • Working knowledge of/experience with Sage or similar accounting programs.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • A positive, enthusiastic and committed team player who has demonstrated a high degree of initiative, judgement and problem-solving abilities and can work with diverse teams within the organization.
  • Demonstrated computer software proficiency with MS Office, Office 365, Advanced Excel.

Assets

  • Experience in membership-based organizations, associations or non–profit organizations

Starting Salary: $49,314/yearly

Salary based in Toronto, GTA area
