ABOUT THE TEAM
We conduct hundreds of live auctions each year globally, needing a dedicated team in various full-time and part-time roles to conduct successful multi-million dollar auctions, including equipment inspectors, yard managers, operators, administrative staff, and customer service representatives.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers seeks an energetic, customer-focused Part-Time Yard Staff. This role involves organizing the Lethbridge, AB yard for auctions and working at temporary auction sites in the region. No auction experience is necessary; hands-on training is provided.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Experience operating heavy machinery
- Able to operate a large 36,000 lbs forklift (an asset)
- Good spoken and written English
- Good computer skills and quick learning of new programs
- Track record of working safely and encouraging safety in others
- Relate well with customers and team members
- Team player who can also self-start
- Organized with the ability to multitask
- High attention to detail
- Work hard while having fun
- Support the RB Unreserved Commitment to Safety
QUALIFICATIONS
- Hold and maintain a valid, clean driver’s license
- Climb on, off, and under large equipment and trucks
- Work outside year-round, regardless of weather
- Work overtime, including weekends, for 4 onsite and 1-2 offsite auction sales
- Travel as required to other auction sites in the region
