Communications Manager

Brookfield Renewable North America is looking for a Communications Manager to join the team. In this role, you will lead initiatives to strengthen brand identity, engage with the community, and support key organizational goals. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external consultants to manage branding and design, ensuring consistent and impactful messaging across all platforms.

Reporting to the Director, HR and based out of our Gatineau, QC office, this position offers an exciting opportunity to shape communications strategies and play a key role in organizational growth and transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Brand Strategy and Content Management: Drive the development and execution of content strategies that align with the organization’s evolving brand identity. Establish and uphold brand guidelines while creating engaging content for social media, websites, presentations, and marketing materials, ensuring consistency and quality across all platforms. Demonstrated experience collaborating with consultants on strategic projects, including rebranding, brand development, and related initiatives.
• Event Planning and Charitable Outreach:
• Assist in the planning and execution of our annual philanthropic event, coordinating logistics, outreach, and engagement strategies to maximize participation and impact.
• Manage charitable giving initiatives and community engagement in the Ottawa/Gatineau area, including volunteering opportunities, managing donations, and building partnerships.
• Digital & Communications Management: Regularly update and maintain the company website, intranet, and social media platforms to ensure all content is current and accurate.
• Administrative and Strategic Support: Assist with general administrative tasks related to communications and marketing efforts, including review and translation support for internal communications, drafting press releases, maintaining a conference and events calendar and other external relations requirements, as needed.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Design, Political Science or a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Proven track record of experience in communications, branding, or event planning.
• Strong writing and editing skills in both French and English, with the ability to create clear and engaging content.
• Proficiency in digital marketing tools, website management, and social media platforms.
• Excellent organizational skills, resourcefulness, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and develop positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
