Reporting to the Senior Director, Operations & Business Development, the Sales Manager is responsible for generating sales at all Company venues through the maintenance and growth of strong client relationships. The Sales Manager will also manage the day-to-day operations within the Sales Team, including reporting and analytics. The position is based out of Concorde Group Administration’s Head Office, overseeing all of Concorde’s affiliated venues and brands.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Business Development
- Responsible for developing relationships with prospective clients and identifying new sales opportunities using outbound sales efforts such as cold calling, cold emailing, social selling and networking.
- Conduct virtual and face to face client meetings and present the Company’s offerings to potential leads
- Attend local networking events with industry leaders to build relationships. Complete on-site tours and sell spaces by articulating value proposition
- Work with Marketing, Design, and Operations team to strategize and conceptualize initiatives and sellable client experiences
- Work with Operations and Events Teams to effectively promote and secure sales for new venue openings and to increase revenue at existing venues.
- Develop and strategize rollout of additional event specific initiatives, as needed (increasing wedding sales, increasing conference sales, etc.)
Team Management
- Conduct regular Sales Team meetings and conduct regular meetings with other Company teams such as Operations, Events, and Marketing
- Work with Senior Leadership to set specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and timely new sales targets by quarter.
- Develop new sales strategies and priorities based on quarterly sales goals.
- Coach junior team members regarding sales tactics and strategies for developing return and/or increased sales revenue with existing clients.
- Lead by example demonstrating and sharing product knowledge and best practices that will help the entire team succeed, while continuously developing own business acumen and skills as a leader and mentor.
- Be a resource for the planning and supervision of educational, professional and personal development of team members based on needs and requests
- Create an engaging and supportive work environment that encourages Concorde values and helps us achieve our mission through cross department collaboration
Client Service
- Ensure venue events sales packages are up to date and presented in a way that maximizes sales
- Review client feedback and present to relevant departments (Events/ Operations)
- Work with relevant departments to remedy any client concerns/ complaints to ensure repeat business
- Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service always.
- Fill in where needed to ensure the highest guest service standards and efficient operations.
Reporting and Analytics
- Use digital tools to create reporting for sales team leads, sales trends, and productivity.
- Use digital reporting tools to organize and maintain client databases for future outreach
- Provide regular sales updates to leadership and executive teams outlining successes and challenges
WHAT YOU HAVE
- 5+ years of sales experience showing continuous growth and career development.
- 3+ years managing a small team is required.
- Degree or diploma in a related field (business, commerce, marketing, hospitality management, etc.) is preferred but not required.
- Proven ability to collect, analyze, interpret, and utilize data to drive sales growth, client satisfaction, and departmental goals.
- Experience creating and driving sales targets, goals, and budgets is required.
- Experience in the hospitality industry is required.
- A positive attitude and focus on customer satisfaction in a fast paced, seasonal environment is important.
- Ability to communicate professionally and courteously with clients, team members, and vendors.
- Flexible availability to work as required by business and client needs.
- Self-starter with strong networking skills and ability to develop rapport quickly.
