Armour Transportation Systems is looking for an Equipment Coordinator based out of our Dartmouth, NS location.

Position Overview: The Equipment Coordinator is a key support role within the operations team, responsible for ensuring the seamless mobilization, tracking, and management of equipment. This position requires excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills to coordinate between internal teams, external customers, and vendors. The Equipment Coordinator plays a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency of equipment usage and ensuring all processes align with operational needs.

Schedule: Must be available to start at 7:30am or 8:00am for an 8-hour workday

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular yard checks to monitor equipment and inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with Greg M to mobilize equipment, coordinate trailer banks, and manage the return of empty equipment.
  • Ensure all inbound equipment is accompanied by signed proof of delivery (POD) and collect PODs from customers as required.
  • Assist operations and equipment management with various administrative tasks to streamline workflows.
  • Work closely with operations and dock teams to ensure smooth communication and task execution.

  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to collect and manage signed PODs from customers accurately and efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with various teams and resolve issues promptly.
  • Prior experience in a similar role or industry is highly desirable.
