Warehouse Material Handler

Key position functions include:

  • Responsible for material handling of product from incoming receiving to work order picking
  • Pull all material required for work orders and place into proper locations per schedule priority and/or instruction
  • Unload, sort, inspect and put away incoming material as per receiving instructions
  • Ensure processes, lifting devices and forklift operations are performed in accordance with safety regulations and are carried out in a conscientious manner
  • Check to ensure material picked for work orders is correct before being released
  • Record required information by pick list or RF gun, which may include lot numbers, serial numbers, heat numbers, quantities, etc.
  • Ensure proper and timely flow of paperwork for pick lists, purchase orders, packing slips, etc.
  • Advise Purchasing and Manufacturing of material shortages or delivery delays
  • Perform uncrating duties for overseas shipments
  • General warehouse duties include but are not limited to:
    • Maintaining and organizing goods, keeping areas clean and orderly
    • Maintaining outside casting and forging areas, keeping areas clean and orderly
    • Keeping both product and storage areas clearly labelled
  • Ensure compliance with Stream-Flo Group Guiding Principles in terms of Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental regulations or policies
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable standards/procedures, which may include:
    • API – American Petroleum Institute
    • ES – Engineering Specifications
    • ISO – International Standards Organization
    • JHA – Job Hazard Analysis
    • QAM – Quality Assurance Manual
    • QCP – Quality Control Procedures
    • SWP – Safe Work Procedures
    • WI – Work Instructions
  • Perform other duties assigned by Supervisor

Preferred candidates will possess a combination of the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, supplemented with related warehouse experience is an asset
  • Knowledge of Stream-Flo and/or competitors equipment would be an asset
  • Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
  • Strong communication (oral and written) skills
  • Detail oriented, strong work ethic and good interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, good organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment
  • Forklift experience is an asset
