Position Overview:

The Master Scheduler is a key role within the Aerospace and Defence operating unit. The primary responsibility for this position is to contribute to the establishment and then maintain a high-level and detailed facility schedules for all active and forecasted projects. This role includes the provision of schedule status and working with the project teams on capacity planning, supporting the effective utilization of available capabilities. This person is a dynamic individual who can adjust quickly to changes, and provide accurate updates when adjustments are required.

What You Will Do:

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize the master project schedule.
  • Coordinate input from various teams (engineering, production, procurement) to create a cohesive timeline.
  • Monitor progress, identify impacting factors, and adjust schedules as needed.
  • Analyze resource availability (personnel, equipment, material, and facility) across projects.
  • Collaborate with department leads to allocate resources effectively.
  • Anticipate capacity constraints and propose solutions.
  • Create and analyze resource capacity charts.
  • Present resource utilization, identify overloads, and recommend adjustments.
  • Design new reports based on inputs from project team members.
  • Interpret data to provide actionable insights to Program and Project Managers.
  • Highlight potential risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align schedules and resolve conflicts.
  • Facilitate communication between departments to ensure smooth execution.
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging tools.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance scheduling efficiency.

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in project management, scheduling, or resource planning considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6).
  • Strong analytical skills for data interpretation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and other relevant tools.
  • Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Secret Level II Security Clearance through PSPC- Contract Security Program, and Transport Canada RAIC clearance.
