For over 60 years, The ECCO Group has experienced consistent expansion, with our manufacturing sector dominating the sheet metal HVAC market in Western Canada. Our ECCO Supply division offers comprehensive wholesale distribution services for Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) supplies and equipment. With sales branches situated in manufacturing and distribution hubs across Western and Central Canada, we are now extending our team into the United States. About The Position

The Recruiter will be responsible for activities throughout the recruitment cycle stages and will manage employment branding activities. The Recruiter will perform all duties in a timely and orderly fashion to the best of their abilities and with the utmost due care, integrity and professionalism.

Duties

Recruitment:

  • Work closely with the hiring managers to determine staffing needs and coordinate hiring activities
  • Review corporate recruitment processes for effectiveness and implement changes for improvement and ensure a positive candidate experience
  • Coach and mentor Talent Acquisition Specialist and HR Administrator on recruitment skills and processes, as needed
  • Manage candidate pipeline, including screening, interviewing and job offer preparation
  • Facilitate the transition from recruitment to onboarding processes
  • Maintain records of new hires by source, and evaluate sources based on expense, time-to-fill, and other key metrics
  • Other duties as deemed necessary by management

Sourcing

  • Maintain and manage job postings on the corporate website and across applicable job boards
  • Build relationships and maintain a contact list with recruiters, external partners, and agencies
  • Identify and implement new strategies for sourcing candidates, including but not limited to new recruiters, temp agencies, schools, co-op programs, job fairs, etc

Employment Branding

  • Manage and administer employment brand through corporate website, signs, and other collateral as needed
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop social media presence to communicate about employee experience and job opportunities

About The Ideal Candidate

  • A degree or college diploma would be considered an asset
  • Previous 3-5 years of recruitment experience
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including presentation skills
  • Highly effective in time management and project prioritization
  • Ability to follow instructions and maintain discretion, level-headedness, and patience
