Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Cross-Border AZ Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods across the Canada-US border, ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods to our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and drive a tractor-trailer across the Canada-US border, delivering goods to various locations
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including DOT regulations and Hours of Service requirements
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues before and after trips, and report any defects or malfunctions to the maintenance department
  • Maintain accurate logbooks and records of cargo, hours of service, and distance traveled
  • Communicate with dispatchers, other drivers, and customers using communication devices to convey information about deliveries, routes, and delays
  • Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting materials, and comply with regulations for handling and transporting such materials
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering goods on time and in good condition, and resolving any customer complaints or issues that may arise
  • Perform other related duties as required

Local, Cross Border, Automotive (General Freight)- Southwestern Ontario, Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, Northern Kentucky.

Requirements:

  • Valid AZ driver's license and clean driving record
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience driving cross-border shipments
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service requirements
  • Ability to handle various materials and follow appropriate safety procedures
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with customers and other drivers
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as required
