The UX Researcher—reporting to the Product Design Leader—will be responsible for conducting user research and analyzing data to inform multiple product designs (specifically internal employee-facing systems/products). You will work closely with the design team from ideation to launch in order to implement design choices that improve user experience. You will also be responsible for developing a well-crafted research plan with clear research objectives, writing usability research screeners and discussion guides, and recruiting targeted end-users for specific research studies.

The UX Researcher—reporting to the Product Design Leader—will be responsible for conducting user research and analyzing data to inform multiple product designs (specifically internal employee-facing systems/products). You will work closely with the design team from ideation to launch in order to implement design choices that improve user experience. You will also be responsible for developing a well-crafted research plan with clear research objectives, writing usability research screeners and discussion guides, and recruiting targeted end-users for specific research studies.
You'll be responsible for:
- Conducting user research to understand various types of user needs, preferences, and pain points.
- Planning, designing, and executing user research studies, including usability tests, interviews, surveys, and ethnographic research.
- Analyzing and interpreting research findings to identify actionable insights and make data-driven recommendations for UX improvements.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and developers, to incorporate user feedback into product development processes.
- Creating user personas, journey maps, and other UX artifacts to inform design decisions and improve user experiences.
- Vocalizing improvements that you observe should be made to our existing products and overall design process.
- A Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, User Experience, Communications, a related field or have relevant professional experience.
- 2+ years experience as a UX Researcher, with a strong portfolio demonstrating successful UX research projects.
- Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.
- Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
- Familiarity with UX design principles and best practices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Knowledge of user-centered design processes and agile development methodologies.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
