Network Firewall Administrator

On behalf of our healthcare client, Affinity Healthcare Solutions is looking for a Network Firewall Administrator for the implementation/modification of custom firewall, proxy, and IDS/IPS rules Analyze/Troubleshoot existing firewalls and IDS/IPS rules to address operational issues.

Responsibilities:

The scope of services will include the following:

• Implement/change firewall, proxy IDS/IPS rules

• Work with customers/vendors to troubleshoot project-related firewall, proxy, and IDS/IPS issues

• Update project / operational documentation and progress production change requests as required for firewall and zoning-related activities

Qualifications:

A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a university degree or technical diploma in a Computer Science program, plus related certifications, and at least four (4) years of recent experience implementing/supporting firewall rules, active directory, and DNS in a large, complex corporate environment with multiple data centers. In addition, the selected candidate will have the following experience:

• Strong understanding of logical network and firewalling principles

• Strong operational knowledge of Fortinet/Palo Alto/Cisco Firewalls, F5 LTM, and Microsoft ISA/TMG

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

• Self-directed, highly motivated, and results-oriented

• Good communication, customer interaction, and organizational skills

• Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects and multi-task

• Team player with well-developed interpersonal skills

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office

• CCNA or equivalent certification is preferred
