We’re seeking an enthusiastic and experienced HR Manager to elevate and enhance our HR operations.

The Opportunity

As our HR Manager, you will provide operational leadership for all aspects of HR, serving as a trusted partner to employees and managers alike. Reporting to the VP of HR, you will lead an HR team and oversee critical functions such as full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, payroll support, policy development, and compliance. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape a positive workplace culture and support the growth and success of our organization.

What You’ll Do

  • Employment Legislation & Compliance: Ensure compliance with provincial laws by staying informed and proactively updating HR policies and practices. Provide expert guidance to managers and employees on legal and regulatory matters.
  • Full-Cycle Recruitment: Manage end-to-end recruitment for both salaried and hourly positions. Partner with hiring managers to identify, attract, and secure top talent while maintaining a positive candidate experience.
  • Onboarding Excellence: Design and execute comprehensive onboarding programs to equip new hires for success, promote engagement, and ensure smooth integration into the company.
  • Employee Relations: Act as a trusted advisor to employees and managers on workplace matters, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and fostering a culture of respect and collaboration.
  • HR Policy Development: Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies and programs that support business goals while ensuring fairness, consistency, and compliance.
  • HR Systems Optimization: Leverage HRIS platform (Dayforce) to streamline HR processes, provide insights through reporting and analytics, and support organizational decision-making.
  • Benefits Administration & Payroll Support: Oversee benefits administration, ensuring employees have access to competitive and well-managed programs. Provide HR team support to Payroll by maintaining accurate and timely updates in the HRIS system to facilitate seamless payroll processing.
  • Leadership & Continuous Improvement: Mentor and guide the HR team, championing best practices and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation across the organization.

Experience

What We’re Looking For

  • 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, including 1-3 years in a team lead, supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Strong HR Generalist or HR Business Partner background with expertise in full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
  • Experience in manufacturing or GMP-regulated environments is strongly preferred.

Skills & Knowledge

  • In-depth understanding of employment laws, policy development and implementation.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms, ideally Dayforce, including analytics and reporting capabilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills, with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Passion for fostering an engaged workforce and driving continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of change management principles.
  • Demonstrated confidence and clarity in all communications whether written or verbal.
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel to help organize, analyze and present data to stakeholders.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • HR certification/designation is a plus.
